1) Uki (person doing the technique) and tori (attacker) both start in seigon. Uki feints an attack by quickly leaning forward slightly at the waist. Tori steps back into Dai Jodan to escape the attack and steps forward with a shomen uchi cut (vertical overhead strike) when uki attack does not come. Uki leans back into correct seigon stance (causing cut to miss) and bring his blade up on the left hand side of tori blade. Using the back of your blade bring tori sword into a clockwise circular motion while stepping to your left. As the motion removes tori blade to uki left, uki brings their blade around in its arc while stepping forward onto their right foot, finishing with a cut on the left hand side of tori neck

2) Uki and tori both start in seigon. Uki feints an attack by quickly leaning forward slightly at the waist. Tori steps back into Dai Jodan to escape the attack and steps forward with a shomen uchi cut (vertical overhead strike) when uki attack does not come. Uki leans back into correct seigon stance (causing cut to miss) and bring his blade up on the right hand side of tori blade. Using the back of your blade bring tori sword into a anti-clockwise circular motion while stepping to your left. As the motion removes tori blade to uki right, uki brings their blade around in its arc finishing with a cut on the right hand side of tori neck. This is followed by a rear (right) foot stomp kick to tori’s knee / upper thigh to collapse their body preventing further use of their sword.

3) Uki and tori both start in seigon. Uki feints an attack by quickly leaning forward slightly at the waist. Tori steps back into Dai Jodan to escape the attack and steps forward with a shomen uchi cut (vertical overhead strike) when uki attack does not come. Uki leans back into correct seigon stance (causing cut to miss) and bring his blade up on the left hand side of tori blade.Using the back of your blade bring tori sword into a clockwise circular motion while stepping to your right positioning yourself at 90° to tori. Uki lowers his body and bring his blade to a position parallel but underneath tori sword with the point towards tori’s belt line. Uki thrusts the point of his sword through tori arms to ward tori’s face. This provokes tori to lean back to avoid the point as this occurs uki steps to his left while cutting/pushing his blade into the crook of tori right arm. Uki continues this movement forcing tori to the ground.

4) Uki and tori both start in seigon. Uki feints an attack by quickly leaning forward slightly at the waist. Tori steps back into Dai Jodan to escape the attack. Uki pivots on his right foot bringing his left foot forward and assume hasso stance. Tori steps forward with a shomen uchi cut (vertical overhead strike) at uki exposed left shoulder. Uki pivots back into seigon while cutting at tori left wrist. As tori performs 1 handed thrust, uki knock the blade up and pivots underneath it to the left bringing the point of the blade underneath tori right arm and thrusts into tori right armpit.

5) Uki and tori both start in seigon. Using the back of your blade bring tori sword into a clockwise circular motion while stepping to your right positioning yourself at 90° to tori. Uki lowers his body and bring his blade to a position parallel but underneath tori sword with the point towards tori’s belt line. Uki thrusts the point of his sword through tori arms to ward tori’s face. This provokes tori to lean back to avoid the point as this occurs uki steps to his left while while raising his blade. This pushs tori arms up allowing uki to slip the point of his blade over tori right bicep and travel down towards tori right hip. Uki now uses his sword as a lever to take tori balance and push his to the ground.

6) Uki and tori both start in seigon. Uki feints an attack by quickly leaning forward slightly at the waist. Tori steps back into Dai Jodan to escape the attack. Uki pivots on his leftfoot bringing his right foot backward and assume hasso stance. Tori steps forward with a shomen uchi cut (vertical overhead strike) at uki exposed left shoulder. Uki pivots back into seigon while cutting at tori left wrist. As tori releases his left hand from his sword’s handle, uki places his sword point underneath tori right wrist. Uki steps to his left and raises his sword in a large clockwise circular movement that causes tori right wrist to follow uki blade. This results in tori right arm being pushed across his body, which pivots to his left exposing the right side of his back to uki. Uki pushes his blade (that is now on the top of tori wrist) down forcing tori body to follow the motion. Uki steps forward to his right and cut at the exposed target.

7) Uki and tori both start in seigon. As tori releases his left hand from his sword’s handle, uki places his sword point between tori’s left arm and the left side of his body. Uki thrusts through this space while pivoting 180° degree on his right foot so that both tori and uki are now facing in the same direction. Uki steps forward with his left foot while using his blade that is underneath tori left armpit as lever to push tori to the ground.
